WIPERS
The Wipers assist the ship's engine room crew with maintenance and cleaning tasks.
VARNISHER / CARPENTER
The Varnisher or Carpenter is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship's wooden structures, such as decks and railings. They apply varnish or paint to protect and beautify the wood.
UPHOLSTERER
The Upholsterer is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship's upholstery and furniture. They ensure that the ship's interior looks and feels comfortable for passengers and crew.
TECHNICAL STOREKEEPER
The Technical Storekeeper manages the ship's store of spare parts and supplies. They ensure that the necessary materials and supplies are available when needed and that inventory counts are accurate and items are stored in an organized fashion.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
The Technical Assistant provides technical support to the ship's crew. They assist with the maintenance and repair of the ship's equipment and systems.
TAILOR – UNIFORM KEEPER
The Tailor - Uniform Keeper is responsible for maintaining and repairing the crew's uniforms. They ensure that the crew is well-dressed and presents a professional appearance. They must know how to stitch and sew by hand or using a sweing machine.
SAILOR O/S
The Sailor O/S (Ordinary Seaman) assists the crew with navigation, maintenance, and other duties on the ship. It is the entry level position for the deck and engine department, then one can work their way up.
SAILOR A/B
The Sailor A/B (Able Body Seaman) is responsible for operating and maintaining the ship's deck equipment, such as anchor chains and winches.
PLUMBER
The Plumber is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship's plumbing systems. They ensure that the ship's water supply, sewage, and drainage systems are functioning properly.
MOTORMAN
The Motorman operates and maintains the ship's main engine and auxiliary machinery. They are responsible for ensuring that the engines and other machinery are running efficiently and safely.
