The LOUNGE TECHNICIAN (LES) is responsible for maintaining and repairing the audio and visual equipment in all ship’s lounges. They ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that guests have access to a variety of entertainment options. They will operate switch boards in secondary lounges while the Sound Tech is managing the main theatre shows. As part of the Entertainment technical team, the LES tech will also rotate as “tech on duty”, therfore it will need to learn a bit of each of the other technical positions with sound, light, video, automation and backstage to be able to support the cohesive team as needed. It will also set up A/V equipment for treainings and presentations that are delivered onboard different venues around the ship.
